A horizon scan is a structured approach for anticipating change early. In our collaborative, online process, contributors report signals of the future arriving in today's world — concrete examples of products, policies, or behaviors that could become more widespread in the future. Curators cluster related signals into trends, each with a timeframe and a confidence. Trends are woven into forecasts, which provide a high-level view of futures cities should be preparing for.
